So I have a problem (well my pal does) he can’t get into his laptop and has been trying to remember his password for weeks. I’ve been trying to help him but because of distance I’m basically trying to tell him stuff through text messages.
He’s tried the forgot password bit and it asks for a usb which he doesn’t have, tried to tell him how to boot to safe mode but he says it still asks for a password? (Holding down shift and restart at the login screen?)
Has anyone used ophcrack? Been looking it up and that might be the easiest solution? Or am I missing anything simpler?
