A woman at work bought her husband a 350D for their 10th anniversairy. On returning he accidentally formatted the CF card while trying to display the pictures on the TV. Don't ask me how but as you can imagine his wife is a little upset as they've lost everything!

Is there anyway of recovering the data?

Cheers,
Neil.

Thanks guys.

She's going to give me the card tomorrow morning so I'll let you know how I get on!

I really hope it works as she's really upset as you can imagine!

It's essential they don't use the card in the camera. If they haven't then recovering all of the images is 100% guaranteed.

He tried to connect it to a TV then hit the wrong buttons several times, realised what he'd done, then turned it off.

I should now receive the card today, hopefully!

I've just popped home with the CF card. I ran the program that comes with the Extreme III cards and managed to get back 186 out of a total of 200 shots.

She's over the moon!

Thanks for all the info guys :)

I can't find my software, was it on a disk in the packaging of the Sandisk Card?

Any ideas where i can get the full version?

it comes on the mini cd with sandisk extreme cards, you can get it from ste sandisk site for $40

I bought a sandisk extreme when the price took a tumble because it worked out that the software was costing about £2 ish when compared to a Ultra II SD card. The software is cool but really it is much of a muchness, there are loads of tools to do this and some are free.
