I added a 2nd GPU (2 x Asus 5870's) and had issues so return back to original config to test. Now I can not boot my PC as there is either an issue with the PSU or MB I suspect. I really am lost as what to do but here is the spec:

1 x Gigabyte GA-X58A UD7 Mobo
1 x Intel i7 930
1 x Corsair H50 Water Cooler
1 x G.Skill 6GB 2000Mhz
2 x Intel X25 Gen 2 80GB SSD's
1 x LG 22x DVDRW
1 x Asus 5870 (I have a 2nd but now removed to get back to as was state!)
1 x Corsair 800D Case
1 x Corsair 850 PSU

I am really unsure what to do. I switch on the PC and for a split second it trys to start (fans move slightly) but then it simply stops and recycles, going into the nearly starting state but not booting. Really appreciate some help.

Cheers
Housey

are you overclocking the cpu as with my gigabyte MB when i changed my gpu to crossfire with two 5770's it did this also, had to drop the overclock back and it booted up fine.

I have checked all connections, all fitting fine and tight.
I don't have another PSU, but I am thinking I might need to get one.
I was not OC'ing the system, it was running stock settings.

It is not even getting to a state of booting and I have reverted back to how the PC was before I added the 2nd card, which worked like clockwork. If I plug in the power cable into the PSU, switch on the PSU using the on/off button on the back of the PSU I can see power going to the Mobo as lights on the board come on. If I then press the on button on the front of the PC it starts for a split second, enough for the fans to maybe make 1/2 a revolution then silence. It then cycles this process for ever not starting. I have removed all cards and still the same, not even getting enough power to start the PC is seems.

Thanks for the replys so far.

I think it must be the PSU, it's not the first I have had fail on me. I will order another and see if this solves it, if it does I shall see what my options are for the failed one, which is a HX850, so not some cheapy cheap device. As you can see I have tried not to skimp on the bits.
