Hi

I'm having a play with my Gigabyte 7870 that I got last week. First time I've overclocked GPU so I wanted to check I'm going about it the right way.

Using Afterburner, this shows
stock voltage is 1168, ASIC is 88.3

I've been raising the core clock and running heaven as follows

volt core mem temp fan score

1168 1156 1200 50 47 1475
1168 1205 1200 52 48 1511
1168 1249 1200 51 47 1426

So please advise if this is the right way to go about it.. and also why would my score drop down so much in the last run I did.

What do I do next ?

Thanks

You need to bump up your voltage a little, perhaps to 1.2v to start with, your temps are fine.
Also have you added the +20 on the power target slider on MSI afterburner? If not, do that.
