HELP! An Attempt to Bypass Halo 5's Server Selection

I'll begin this thread with a brief rant. Followed by an idea that may or not work however I'd like some help.

I played Halo 3 for seven solid years, I really enjoyed the competitiveness of the ranks in the game and I used to spend a lot of time levelling accounts to sell online. I used to enter myself into various competitions both online and at rare LAN events in the UK...

Halo Reach was released a few years later and the competitiveness of the Halo had changed, Bungie; the game's developer tried something different in terms of play style from the previous Halo's however a lot of the competitive community including myself did not like these changes so I continued to play my beloved Halo 3.

Halo 4 was a similar story, Halo tried to be like Call of Duty and I was beginning to loose interest in any new Halo's as IMO they just kept getting worse.

Now,
Halo 5: Guardians has been out for a couple of months ... The game is excellently balanced and has a huge competitive community similar to Halo 2/3 this game gives the 'old school' try-hards what they always wanted however there is a massive problem that 343 Industries (Game Dev) has not addressed.

Halo 5 is ran on dedicated servers however currently there is no region selection at all integrated into the game... there are EU servers available however it is very rare that I get connected to these servers and most of the time I am connected to US servers which comes with a delay of at least 200ms which makes the game incredibly frustrating. The game dev has finally learned their lesson on what Halo should be (a competitive arena shooter) however they have failed to give EU players an acceptable online experience.

There is a thread on the Halo Waypoint forums with over 1800 replies regarding this issue however still no word from the game dev and I highly doubt they will fix this as Halo's main audience is the US.

The idea:
I recently ordered a Network to USB adapter, my plan is to plug the adapter into my main PC, that way I can connect my Xbox to my PC which would mean the xbox would have to go through my settings on Windows Firewall. Microsoft has released all IPs of the dedicated servers they use so my idea was to somehow block these IP addresses of the US servers in the hopes that it will skip the server I cannot connect to in matchmaking and keep searching for one that I can connect to... it's a long shot however it's worth the effort in my opinion.

LINK to IP addresses for servers: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=41653

As I do not come from a networking background I believe I will need advise on the best way of going about doing this or even if it is possible at all?
Anyone out there that has knowledge regarding blocking IPs on Network or any way to bypass the server selection please help!

Much appreciated,
Steve.

Why not cut out the complication of connecting your Xbox to your PC and block connection to the us servers from your router? (New router may be needed to do this).

My router (mikrotik) allows me to create a list of IPs of which then I'd make 1 firewall rule blocking traffic from my Xbox IP as source and to the list as a destination.

Won't need your PC on to work and would be incredibly cheap as well.

Thanks for your reply, this sounds like a better idea than running my Xbox through my PC I did think of this however I don't have a clue on what I'm looking for when comparing routers. Would you be able recommend any routers with IP blocking functionality that are somewhat midrange in price?

Again, thanks a lot.
