so i have a friend that wants a CPU motherboard and ram for an maximum of £500 for gaming...
i told him what to get... and i quote "that wont look nice in my case..."

so he said max £500 and the emphasis is on gaming, but what i said to buy doesn't look nice...
so i therefore assume the emphasis is on looks i said I'll ask the boys.

he wants a pretty looking motherboard for his gaming pc..

upgrading from a 9800k, he grabbed a 7900xtx of B-Grade for 500 and wants to game at 1440p 165hz

What res and what games does he play?

Does he have any theme or colour scheme in his current system?

1440p 165hz, game like COD, Squads, Battlefield.

he current board is an Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO...
he wants wants some thing with stupid RGB because you know that's like +10%fps

Don't think that's going to happen with the mobo on a £500 as these boards normally cost a crap load and on top you pay the RGB tax lol

Does he do anything else apart from gaming?

He wants pretty ?

Your cart

£490 for a basic no frills GPU
£10 for an RGB strip light with PSU and remote off the bay

Tell him to wrap the RGB around the GPU and put in on his desk.
Imagine you're playing games as he's clearly daydreaming

how old is his psu? he might be better investing in a new one?

i have the thermalrite peerless assasin 120 se white version and i had to raise the front fan up to clear my mem sticks and one of the sticks is more or less hidden , cosair vengeance rgb cl30 6000mhz ddr5 :P

if hes such a stickler for asthetics he might not like that.

the 7600 is nice my dads running the 7600x which has considerably more power draw than the normal 7600, my dad has a nice looking cooler that doesnt cover the mem slots like mine but its not as good for cooling, got the link https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B6H7CP2V?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1

he also has a back fan on it and the front one doesnt touch the high mem sticks like my assasin does, his front fan crapped out on the rgb though, but for asthetics it looks nice and provides adequite cooling for a 7600 x, the cooler looks awesome but is less efficent than the peerless assasin which is also cheaper, the peerless assasin is a no brainer but sounds like ur mate is like wooo rgb shiny lights :p

Theres my pc u can see only one mem stick :P
