Thinking of getting this: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6450 HM 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card PCI-E 16x 2.1

Will this work on my old PCI-E 16x interface?

Just want mkv's to play smoothly and currently they stutter like mad. Want a cheap as chips upgrade.
 
yes should just run at pcie 1.0 though.
not just the gfx card that is used in playing video files though. What CPU do you have ?
