For the first time ever ive decided to make my own gaming rig (Exciting!! ). Im willing to spend around £1,600 to make a really nice one and below is the list of stuff ive come up with. Would be really really helpful if you guys could tell me what you think and give me any advice you can on making this pc.

Mobo & RAM incompatible. Need DDR2 (A.K.A. PC2) RAM, like this...
  • G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ) (MY-013-GS) £147.95
Also, get a beefier/reputable/etc PSU like these:
  • Seasonic S12 600W Silent ATX2.2 Power Supply (CA-002-SS) £84.95
  • Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-009-TG) £69.95 :D
  • Enermax Liberty 620W ELT620AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-024-EN) £84.95
  • FSP Sparkle FX600-GLN Epsilon 600W ATX2.0 PSU (CA-002-SK) £76.50
7950GX2 compatability with that mobo/setup is still unkown? Wait for more opinions :)

Rest looks good

EDIT: Oh, welcome to the forums ;)

Thnks a lot for the reply :)

Changed RAM to the G.Skill's u recommended and opted for the.......
Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-009-TG) £69.95

Alsoooooo u were right - mobo wasn't compatible with the 7950GX2! Tis good u pointed that out to me - Last thing i want is to recieve all my nice new shiny gear to find out they dont work with each other :p

Well anyways ive put this one on my shopping list instead, a bit pricier but im pretty sure it will work:
Intel Extreme D975bx-304 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-010-IN) £139.95

Would be great if i could get some more input from anyone else here, im pretty new to this and any pointers u guys can dish out would greatly help me out :D
