Hello i apologize for this but I hope I'm not going to offend anybody but my question is if money was no object would you buy the samsung galaxy fold 5 and if not is there any alternatives thank you very much

I wouldn't because it would get destroyed at work unless I went down the route of phone for at work and one for at home.

I'd probably get the pixel fold instead, purely because I prefer the Google ecosystem and experience better than Samsung, if you ever use the accessibility features in Samsung they just aren't as good/easy to navigate (have to build things that are accessible as part of my job).

I'm not keen on folding phones. They are thick and heavy. Also likely to fail at the fold point eventually. I'll stick to a normal phone until the tech improves and the price comes down.

No because folding phones develop all sorts of faults and many reports of people saying their £1000 folding phone developed a fault very quickly.

Absolutely loads of them on ebay, phone does not open properly, screen has black spots, ugly crease on screen and all sorts of other things.

If you really want the phone go for it. Everyone will have different preferences/requirements on what they want from a phone.

Personally I prefer Google's Pixel UI as well, so the upcoming Fold 2 (or 9 Pro Fold or whatever it'll be called) tempts me more, but as also mentioned, while it's much better than earlier foldables, reliability is still an issue.
