Help and Advice On Overclocking My System Pleasee.

Hey!

Im new to the forum. I've just built a new system and thought i might overclock it. Could you tell me the potential of my system please?

My Stats:

ASUS P5LD2-VM-DH Socket 755.
Intel Pentium D - 3.4GHZ Dual Core 800MHZ FSB
1GB DD2-PC5300 at 667MHZ
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)
650 Watt PSU - With 2 Fans - Which have adjustable speeds.
Thermaltake Soprano Case - With 2x 120mm Fans and 1x 90mm fan.

I will greatly appreciate your advice.

Many Thanks,

Matt.

Your motherboard isn't exactly the best clocker but I recon you should be able to hit 4.0Ghz with your system.

Set FSB to 230
Lock your PCI bus to 33Mhz
Disable EIST and C1
Set CPU vCore to 1.37v
(You may need to raise PCI Express frequency to about 110 if you get no display on bootup).

I managed to hit 4Ghz on my old Pentium 4 650 (3.4Ghz default clock) with a cheapo Asus P5GPL and Corsair Value Select.

I made a thread over at another forum I frequent which you can find here.

Ok, I'll look around and by a new Mobo.

By the way do you think ill be able to overclock both cores or just 1 on my current MOBO?

Thanks,

Matt
