This is my first time here but all of you seem pretty helpful, so I'll try my luck with a common 'can I have help building' thread.

This is my first build and I am primary looking to build a computer for gaming (Diablo 3, Skyrim, Total war) but with consideration that I will be doing a small amount of video editing and as I understand it an i7 is the better option for the video editing, I could be wrong though. I have the monitor, speakers, keyboard etc so this will just be a base unit with OS.

My budget is 1K to 1.3k but I am willing to go over if it is worth it. This is what I have selected.

KFA2 GeForce GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W)
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3
Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler - Blue
Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache
Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
LG BH10LS38 10x BluRay-RW / 16 x DVD±RW Lightscribe Drive
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit
Cooler Master HAF 922 Case

any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

sweet jesus 1.3k emm the build looks superb just if your willing to spend it add in more ram get 16gbs rather than 8 give the cpu 2gbs per thread rather than 1gb otherwise the build looks good

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

The spec you mentioned above is all compatible and have no issues regards any major changes.
