connect my v+ box to this?

Don't see why not,V+ connected using HDMI & PC connected using DVI/VGA

overclockers say should be fine but however the monitor is not certified by Hyundai for use with V+ boxes.does this cause a problem?

phono's out from the V+ box into a 2way phone switch connected to a set of 2.1 speakers..
