Help and recommendation with upgrading current Pc...

Evening all,

Im new to the forums even though I have been to this site and ordered things from here in the past, thought it was about time I signed up!

Coming up to my 30th birthday and got some spare cash... I mainly use my computer for gaming and thinking a new graphics card is needed!

specs are as follows:

Mobo - Asus P53E
Graphics Card - ATI 4850 512mb
Memory - 4gb DDR3 1333
CPU - Quad Q9450 2.6ghz - not overclocked
PSU - 650 watt Corsair
HDD - Got 3 hdd's 2 sata's ( 500gb & 120gb ) and one old ide drive...
Operating system - Vista 64 bit - Should be getting Win 7 next month.
Samsung 2232Bw 22'' Monitor ( highest res is 1680 x 1050 )

Thats the bulk of it, the question is what would you upgrade. Just got back from a Road trip across the states so money is what you call sacred at the moment! Could spend about £300 for upgrading.

Be very interested to see what other people's ideas and opinions are. Im a little out of touch to say the least of all the latest hardware etc.

Could spend about £300 for upgrading.

EDIT: I would go for either a GTX 470/5850 and a cooler (Get some overclocking done on that CPU with a new graphics card and it could feel like a new machine), or a GTX 460, a cooler and a solid state drive.
