HELP: Anyone here have/use a bicycle GPS ?

I just received my garmin edge 1000 bicycle GPS from amazon uk yesterday and i noticed that the map does not cover Guernsey (channel islands) were I live ..

And I was really hoping maybe some you guys/girls could please help me out by looking at your Cycling GPS and seeing if the map covers Guernsey (or any of the channel islands) and then let me know...

I see garmin sell a map for £35 that covers the main roads like a car/motorbike GPS would

But garmin don't do an outdoor map that covers guersney
