Having just downsized house I have a little left over to buy a new gaming rig.
I do intend getting a 4k monitor but it doesn't have to be included in the budget.
I would like a fully water cooled system if possible, I mainly play SL and WOW, as I don't envisage having this chance again the idea would be if it was (semi) future proof.
I don't know enough to put together the rig myself however I am looking at Intel i7 and have no real preference as to a graphics card manufacturer, bit of bling and I don't care about overkill.

Having read many threads on here you guys and Gals seem the knowledgeable
people to point me in the right direction.
Thank you for your time.

Regards Steve.

Well, that is an amazing machine, looks and spec wise. 2 x 295's would decimate anything in its path.

Though it isn't watercooled fully, and a little over budget.

I think This Build is a good choice too, and actually leaves some money spare for a 4k display. :)

Thanks for the input I have looked at both the Infinity Quasar & http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=43&catid=2474 I am tending to lean towards the Quasar as it is fully watercooled, and apparently the Vesuvius runs very hot.
I am not concerned with a 4k monitor in the budget I have that covered.
The vast majority of pre builds I see here seem to use i7 4770k as oppose to i7 4960x so i gather that the former is maybe a far better cpu for OC or other than the obvious price difference are there other significant reasons to go down the 4770k route, thanks for your time.
Regards Steve.

are you seriously intending to spend 3-4k on a rig for games that a 500 quid rig will max out?
i know it's your money after all, but that seems to me like a massive waste

As I said I have no concern about massive overkill, so yes I am serious.
They are not the only games I play just a small example, I am getting a 4k monitor and for the first time be able to play on settings other than low.
Massive waste yes but as I don't waste my money smoking or drinking, this is a way of blowing cash and living :)

go crazy xD
