Hello Guys,

Haven't found this question on any other forum, so im guessing im just being stupid BUT...

I am looking at purchasing this motherboard: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-443-AS&tool=4

And was wondering why it has 4x DDR3? - I currently have a EVGA x58 mobo with has Tri DDR3 and 6x DDR3 slots and is a lot older than this one.

Please could someone post me a link of RAM which would be compatible with this mobo (preferrably off the OCers website) so that I can get some form of idea about which to buy.

Thanks in advance and appologies once again for this "noob" question :)

Regards,

Hello Surveyor,

Thanks for the fast reply.

I am building this system for someone else, was just using my mobo as a comparision.

He will be using this machine for High-End Gaming, what kind of mobo would you recommend? I guess Tri-DDR3 would be a better option?

Thanks for the links, also, another quick question, I have seen boards with 5x DDR3 RAM also.. well weird. - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-049-AK

As you can probably tell its been a while since I have built a system and this feedback is really helping!

Triple channel is not a better option, there isn't much (if anything?) that can make use of the extra bandwidth. Plus, the Sandybridge architecture is dual channel only.

His budget is around £1000 :)

The P67 I linked earlier is the board I am going for I think, I hope the Hydro CPU Cooler will fit on this board.

Thanks for your help guys, I now know what im looking for RAM wise and you have solved my issue.

If you guys recommend any other mobos other than the one I chose feel free to link them on this post.

Thankyou all again :)

If you are buying the board from here, look at the Z68 pro or the Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Intel Z68 both are the similar price to the ASUS P8P67 PRO on here.
