Help! AVI File Wont Open!

I just rendered a 7000 frame video on after effects, left pc on all night now when i open the file it says Unsupported file format. It's an AVI with a goldish looking logo? I really need an answer please

What are you trying to open the file with? Try VLC.

Avi is just a container, what codes were used?

Yeah you need to work out what codec you used. There is also the chance that the render failed.
