Help backing up my ssd

I need to take a backup image of my ssd and I only have a copy of Acronis home version 10. Should this work ok? I've only ever used it on mechanical drives.

If I take a backup image onto my external USB drive and then have to restore it in the future should it work out all the sector size bumf itself?

I use Acronis home version 10 also and yes it does keep the correct sector alignment. For me I just make sure I back up the entire drive not just the partition. I restored mine this way twice now and the alignment is spot on. Although I'm not sure if it would still align properly if you choose to restore a partition only.

Yep, as long as you backup/restore the entire drive rather than the partition, all sector alignment should remain in-tact what you restore the image.
