today i formatted my housemates pc and to backup all his stuff (docs music etc) i transferred them to my computer over the house network.
then proceeded to format his computer and reinstall windows. NOw have jsut checked my pc and gone to the backup folder and only half of this back up was transferred.
WE NEED THE REST OF THE DATA, as in his docs and backed up email. is there any software out there that can recover accidentally deleted data? i have recovered data like this in the past but have forgotten what i used.
i understand that i should avoid using the pc and the more u use it the more chances that the data will be written over.
if it helps, when i installed windows i only did a quick level format. hopefully this will make recovering the data that much easier.
