Trying to overclock 2 6970's in crossfire...

I got a decent overclock on cores at 960mhz with 1.250 volts. However for the life of me I can't overclock memory if I raise the memory by only 5mhz from stock the scores in heven drop??

Now as I take it of scores drop it means there are errors in the memory which the frame has to be sent again taking longer and hence causing a lower score??

The benchmark does not crash or artefact...

Does this mean my memory can't be run above stock??

How can I overclock memory??

is there a limitation with crossfire overclocks??

The simple answer is not to worry about it.

In my experience overclocking the VRAM on the 6970 makes very little difference to the performance.

Hehe i always used to get this was normally just before i reached the limit of the overclock without adding more volts, try and push it further if it starts crash or artifact i guess it needs more power. Dunno if AB will let you add more power or if the Vram is sufficiently cooled on that model though :)
