Difficult to see, but they look fine now. You will probably never remove your CPU so I dont think its anything to worry about.

well if you try and rma it they'll say you bent them (not saying you did but thats why they ship them with protective covers on them, gives them total impunity basically) so I'd see if it works first before considering any sort of plan B.

I installed the CPU after resettingthe pins, all booted Ok and uasing it to post now.
I have installation insurance, so not sure wethere to return it or leave us.

if you were going to have a problem with your CPU pins on the mobo then it just wouldn't post.

Its one of those faults where it either works or it doesn't so I guess seeing as it works, keep it!

no those are not normal...those are darn right great temps mate...and since you sorted out your pins, you shouldnt have to worry about sending the board back. I bought my P6T Deluxe V2 and it wouldnt recognise my RAM past 4GB. When I sent it back to be RMA'd they said there was a bent pin. They said it should have been out of warranty, but I had no idea about the pin. I didnt even notice it. They fixed it and sent it back and its now working fine. I had bought the P6T SE whilst the V2 was being looked at and thats now back in its box.

Idle temp of 33 by any chance? Load temperatures are the one that matters, run intel burn test for 5 minutes or so and report the temperature it hits during that.

If it goes over 85 stop the testing, turn off computer and remount the cooler.

Yes those are idles; I should have said.:rolleyes:
These are after standard intel burn with 2 threadsafter 5 minus
core min max
1 31 46
2 28 43
3 33 45
4 29 42

These are threads auto and max stress level 5 min test
1 31 53
2 28 51
3 32 53
4 28 50
It only completed 2 of the 5 tests, should I have allowed it to carry on?

After having 2 boards refused RMAs for pins i supposedly bent ( for machines i build for customers ) i now only buy mainboards in person and inspect them at the counter.

On one occasion i opened a board and found 4 bent pins! this is after it had been opened by them and had a "quality assured inspected" sticker on it. Clearly the chimp behind the scenes had
bent the pins himself sticking the damn protector back on.

If i had not opened it at the counter they would have refused the return claiming they "inspect" them prior to dispatch. I now take no chances with boards.

If i were being honest i would think some companies do this "inspection" as a cover to sell known duff boards with bent pins to avoid returns ( on stuff they cant send back for what ever
reason ). Then again i do have a bad opinion of some of these so called "professional" outfits.

Not ocuk by the way... so far i have found them to be great :p

If I find damage I report it as soon as it arrives (always open it).

They can check my call vs. time of delivery to see if I even had time to bend them.

Problem is that ive had places say "but it was inspected prior to dispatch so we KNOW you did it... sod off" pretty much.

Thats why i say to be 100% safe only ever buy mainboards in person.

Yes and then it got damaged during shipping, unless they have photographs showing it before being shipping they are SOOL since its on them the proove that it was not broken.

at the end of the day you can send things back with in 7 days."but it was inspected prior to dispatch so we KNOW you did it... sod off" lol good one. and saying it was inspected is a load of bull. shops try and get a way with it. but saying that ther are ppl out ther who try and rip shops off. 1 all ways when you get your things look them over. 2 lot of boxs ie mb/sound cards/ Graphics cards/ and so on. have security stickers on the opening of the box. take a pic of the box right a way get a news paper on the day you get your goods. and make shor you get the date in the pic. then open it if you get bent pins and other things whong with it. and they try and say "but it was inspected prior to dispatch so we KNOW you did it... sod off" you can then turn round and say iv got pics prior to opening the goods you have 24 hours to sort this out or im going to my bank to get my monney back by the end of the phone call they will be kissing your bum and calling you sir.
