Help! Best card for £70-£85

Hi guys i need some help....again.

I need a graphics card in the £60 - £85 range. Its mainly for mid range (steam/big screen) gaming (Jet set radio,borderlands 1/2, l4d, dead island, batman: ac etc) old rig.

The specs:

Asus P5Q SE/R
Radeon saphire hd 3870 512mb gddr4
cooler master - extreme power duo 650w
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 XMS2 PC2-8500C5

I want to be able to play games quite smoothly and quietly. Ive been looking at gtx 560 tis, gts 650s, hd 7750, 7770 etc and I cant make my mind up.

Ive seen a couple of choices which are overclocked (gtx 560 ti and gtx 650)...
I will be connecting the PC to a samsung hdtv - series 6.
The cpu is not overclocked - Intel core 2 quad Q6600

Push the cpu to 3.0ghz, and keep an eye on the temps.

Second hand is the best option, but if buying brand new I'd go for this :

Is the budget flexible at all?

Basically, in order of performance, the lower end gaming gpu's are as follows :

650ti (not within budget) > 7770 > 650 > 7750.

I wish the budget was flexible Im stretching it at £85

I'd see if you can pick up a GTX 480 second hand. May be tricky finding one within budget but OCUK had refurbished ones on sale a few months back for £71.99. It's still a beast of a card for 1080p gaming

Are the geforce 550 ti and gtx 650 better performers than 7750?

Up until the 12.11 drivers from AMD, I would have said the 550ti was overall faster than the 7750. I expect now the 7750 is as fast, if not faster. The 650 will be a tad faster than the 7750.

550ti is faster than the standard 650. And the 7750 beats them both.
