Hi, i have overclocked my PC from a standard 2.2Ghz (3700+ SD) to a 2.7Ghz using a 333 divider with 2X1GB Corsair Value Select ram. I am using a Antec Sonata II case with 1 x 120mm fan. My idle temperatures using the standard AMD 3700 HSF are:

CPU:42
Chipset:33

My temperatures on load (Prime95 2 hours) are:

CPU:51
Chipset: 36

I think these temperatures are a bit high for my liking. What coolers/fans do you recommend i should buy from OCUK? (Low noise). I am not looking to spend more than £35 including delivery.

I have the sonata II as well and if you are willing to live without the duct that 'doesnt really work anyway' get somthing like the thermaltake sonic tower. There are a couple of heatsinks that are similar in design, but i have made a custom duct for my sonic tower and used the 120mm exhaust fan that came with the case. Works like acharm and cools the nortbridge as well.

I was looking at Thermaltake Big Typhoon 4 in 1 Heatpipe (Socket 939/754/775/478) CPU Cooler (CL-P0114) (HS-007-TT)

Price: £24.95 (£29.32 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Is that any good? Or one of the Zalman coolers? Or a cheaper option of the Arctic Freezer 64 Pro?

Well im inexperienced with Overclocking and building although i know the basics and a bit more :)

I would like a CPU Cooler with a fan so i dont have to do much work if you get my drift. I have a Asus A8N SLI SE, will the fans that you have suggested fit? I also have a XFX 7800GT, would there be enough room to fit the specified fan?

The arctic freezer pro 64 should fit your board fine, there's not that much around the mount bracket so clearance shouldn't be an issue. Don't think it would be too near your GFX card either. Plus it's only £16.44 :D

Yeah the price is very decent. I was also looking at the Thermaltake Big Typhoon . Do you know anything about that CPU cooler?

Thanks people, snowdog i will have a close look at those two CPU coolers :) Also, did you mean the Thermaltake Big Typhoon is 15% better than the Arctic Freezer 64 Pro?

I ended up buying the Arctic Freezer 64 Pro. The price/performance ratio was very decent and i had to take that into account when buying the component.
