Hi,
My PC crashed and when restarting it I could see the BIOS screen and the Windows 8 loading screen. Once it finished loading the screen turned black.
I managed to get the PC into safemode and it apeared to work. But the only way I could get it into normal mode was to disable the ATI 6870 GPU in Device Manager. I attempted to uninstall the drivers and re install but this crashed the PC.
I then decided to do a clean OS install of Windows 8. This was fine copying the files from the disk but once you restart the PC to complete the install the PC screen just turns black and freezes.
For the split second when it begins to load the graphics comes up with lots of lines.
Could this be a fault with the GPU?
Thanks.
