Well I was carefully putting together my new system and about half way through I noticed that one of the Pins on my IDE connector was bent 90 degrees so I went to straighten it but it snapped off.
It's Pin 40 - ground. I'm using 80 wire cables.
Will it make any difference? Will I have to try and re solder a new IDE plug back on? I haven;t yet tried it though, will do tomorrow. Just incase any body has done this before and knows what to do.
Could I just break out the wire from the cable and wire straight to ground elsewhere in the case?
Would that work?
