Hi
I hope someone can help.
I have the syatem described in my sig below. It is slightly overclocked to 3Ghz on stock air and seems fine... however when I run software about 10 minutes in it sometimes hangs, or goes to a full BSoD. I have noticed if I am watching Media player on full screen after about 10 mins (sometimes) it drops back to normal size. I have run Memtest 86+ for 6 passes with no problem (I haven't overclocked the memory (yet)) So I don't think it is the memory. Any ideas, I feel it may be something calling up either in Windows (I'm running Xp Pro by the way) or some other running programme.
Thanks

Does it have hangs etc at default?

I'd suggest first running Orthos for 12 hours to check if your overclock is stable.

Just reset the CPU to standard and set Orthos going. I was only getting 20 seconds before it failed with it clocked. Just come back to the computer to find it has reset and Orthos managed 10 minutes give or take  Not super chuffed as you can imagine. Is there a CPU test in DOS like Memtest so that I can rule out a dodgy install of windows?
Thanks

Hi
Ram has passed Memtest perfectly and is at 2.178v but not Overclocked. Starting to not trust my machine, which isn't good!!!
Thanks

Well, that's perfectly good for that ram.

I'd suggest running a linux LIVECD and running somthing stressy (I'm sure there's a few stress programs for *nix.)

I have Linux working nicely just need some Orthos type software to stress the CPU up to see if it is at fault. Any ideas?
Thanks

try giving cpu 1.45 volts

run orthos on small ftts to check cpu oc stability making sure its loaded 100%
