O.k i overclocked my cpu to 4ghz n ram tests n was fine, nice and stable then i linked the ram so was 1:1 at 490mhz n i set the timings n started to test n i i got memory fails when using memtest so i adjusted nudging my timings slightly then testing again, the last one i got during testing was way into it (not sure the exact time) before it failed n then on startup after it chooses boot device i recieved a BSOD so i took my ram back to default settings but still recieve it... (im in safe mode with networking encase your are wondering...)

PHEW.. After leaving my system in safe mode whilst testing a few thing i then decided to try start up again, the screen stayed black but then on my second attempt now in last known good config. it worked =] i just now need to fix my RAM overclocking issues so i can have it at 1:1 =[

Things to do :

1. Take your RAM off 1:1 and run it slower
2. Check to see if your RAM is getting the right voltage
3. Give the north bridge a slight bump in voltage to see if that's not causing the memory problems
4. Slacken the memory timings :)

What RAM do you have?

hey thanks for reply, i have black dragon ram 4gb or 800mhz kit.. so it shud easy handle 890mhz.. i think was the timings.. im not too good with them.. i had it at 1.85V which should be fine since 800mhz only requires 1.8... how shud i go about my timings?
