The ADSL filter's 431A plug or connector, is stuck in the bt wall phone socket thing in the upstairs landing and I can't get it out. I am having Sky fibre switched on tomorrow and need to replace the old ADSL filter with the new sky filter for fibreoptic broadband. Any idea guys how I can get the thing out, as its doing my head in. I can't yank it out, I don't want to damage anything in the wall phone socket.

The locking arm has not broken off mate. I've taken off the face plate and the plug is jammed in the socket. I think it may be those thin gold metal strips that are causing the problem. Don't know how to unplug this thing now.

Thanks for the help, but I don't think that's a good idea mate. Believe me I want to.

Who's going to rebuild that if I do, I can't afford an openreach engineer to come round to fix it. I'd have to replace the innards of the unit myself, but I'm not qualified to do so.
