Hey guys.

Just need some help on buying a new Laptop!

I have about £400 to spend

I wont be using it for gaming so its just use of Internet,Music and watching movies. which means i need a lot of Hard drive space and a decent amount of ram.

Theres the Samsung NC10, and the The Acer ONE, and im sure theres others but im not sure what really to go for.

Thanks in advance!

Just seen this Laptop advertised at the different location.

HP 6735s Laptop
AMD Turion X2 Dual Core RM-72 2.1Ghz
4GB 800DDR2
250GB 15.4
DVD RW LightScribe Writer
WLAN, Webcam, Bluetooth 2.0+,
Onboard ATI Radeon HD3200 Windows Vista Home Premium

For £400, its only £100 More really than the samsung nc10 and seems to pack more power than the 2 webbooks above.

i thought these netbooks are really designed for internet etc.. movies well i don't know and lots of HDD space in a netbook will not happen it depends on your definition of lots of space? my understanding is anything above 500GB is lots anything below is ok

best thing is to go to all the major notebook manufactures websites and browse there selection, based on your findings then search for reviews.

depends if you want them extra features like DVDdrive, more processing power, more a desktop replacement, But if you want just to use a fairly decent computer on the move definitely a netbook. Dont be put off by what people say about netbooks appart from playing 3D games its still a full working computer with pretty good speed. Also do you wish to carry around a 15"-17" laptop or a 9"-10" netbook. I had a laptop before and tbh i couldnt be bothered carrying it around all the time in the end it just stayed at home, which was pretty much rendering it useless as my Gaming Desktop machine murders it in all tasks.

you have to think what you really really need it for and then decide :) goodluck and let us know which route you took :p
