I friend asked me to re-install XP on his laptop as it was a couple years old & needed a re-install & he cant find the original driver cd's ! 
I managed to find all the drivers (sound driver was a pain) except the battery driver of which there are 2 in the device manager
It all works ok except XP moans about no drivers for the batteries on boot (even after selecting dont inform me again).
Anyway, to make matters worse he told me later that he bought it from Hong Kong, so it maybe an Asia Pacific model
I've tried a few different drivers from different VAIO support sites, inc. battery-checker / power management.
Does anyone have a VAIO or know how to fix this driver issue, thanks...
