Hi,

I have a site that I've been asked to update for this year rather than last year. The site uses Joomla as the back end and I can't for the life of me work out how to change the title that appears at the top of the browser (and also the listing in google but as I understand it this takes the title of the home page, is this correct?).

Can anyone tell me where I can find this attribute as it doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious. I have tried clicking systematically through all the menus but can't seem to find it there

Thanks for any help

Its been a while since I used Joomla but I think you can change the page title by changing the title of the article that is displayed on the home page. Open the article for editing and change the Title field.

For the metadata that Google uses, go to Site....Global Configuration and change the Global Meta Description.

This is assuming 1.5, never used 1.6 or 1.7.
