Hi all,
Completely new here but been checking out a few threads..I'm looking to build a computer....Last time I specced a computer to build was about 10 years ago! So looking for help to see if everything will work together and if you can suggest any improvements.
The new system will be completely new, so looking for case and everything inside, OS and Left Hand mouse
The computer will be used for office type tasks, Design work in the way of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, with maybe the odd design analysis program, listening to music and the odd game like Call of Duty etc. I'm looking to eventually go to 2 screens, but for now it will be just 1

I've come up with the following:
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor £239.99
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM £73.99
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £67.99
Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 '80 Plus' Certified Power Supply £59.99
I have no idea what sort of power rating I should be looking for
Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP 12x BluRay ROM / 16x DVD±RW Lightscribe SATA-II Optical Drive - Black (OEM) £49.99
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-Bit - OEM (FQC-00765) £114.98
OCZ Agility 3 60GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive £95.99
If there's something more reliable with similar speed, please advise :)

Razer DeathAdder Respawn 3500dpi Xtreme Precision Left Handed Edition Gaming Mouse - Retail £44.99
Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp - OEM £20.99
Have my own Videologic theatre 5.1 system with Bose headphones for sounds
Shipping cost £11.75
VAT is being charged at 20.00% VAT : £160.00
Total : £959.98

I was looking at a HAF912 case for lots of cooling and fan options- not bothered on looks, with a H70 watercooling system.
Was thinking of an MSI or Gigabyte motherboard, with at least USB3 and 3 Sata3 ports for future proofing, maybe the P67-GD65 or would a Z68 chipset be better for me?
Can't make up my mind, but I'm thinking Nvidia 2GB 560ti from EVGA, Palit or Gainward, amybe SLI eventually so I guess the PSU would need to be something meaty so I wouldn't have to change it later on when the second card arrives
I was also looking at 2 120mm Alpenfohn Wing Boost PWM Silent Fans inc Rubber Coated Anti-Vibration Housing 108CFM air movement! OCUK are Alpenfohn official dealers but don't list their items on the site - odd

Your Thoughts........?
Thanks
