My friend has asked me to spec him a PC that will be used mainly for internet, photoshop and the likes, no games. Here's what I've come up with, I think it has decent power and will look smart. Any suggestions welcome.

Budget is £500.

Samsung B2230H 21.5" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Glossy Black £119.99

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £101.99

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H AMD 880G (Socket AM3) microATX DDR3 Motherboard £59.99

Antec Sonata Proto Quiet Midi Tower Case - Black £56.16

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD105SI) £38.98

OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3G1333LV4GK) £35.99 x2 £71.98

Coolermaster Elite Power 500W Power Supply £34.99

Samsung SH-S223C/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £13.99

Sub Total : £415.05

VAT is being charged at 20.00% VAT : £83.01
Total : £498.06

Thanks I'll keep that in mind, just doesn't look as smart for a home office.

Personally for a build without a graphics card I would almost always choose the Antec Earthwatts Green EA-380D 80Plus Bronze, as it is very high quality, as well as having good efficiency. It doesn't come with a power cord tho, so will have to source one from elsewhere.

The problem is that the Coolermaster Elite Power 500W uses a passive PFC meaning lower efficiency.

The Antec Earthwatts Green EA-380D is made by Delta Electronics too.
