Help choose between two GPUs...

Ok so ive narrowed down my search for a GPU between these two;

My basket at Overclockers UK:

• 1 x Sapphire Radeon R9 Nitro 380X 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Backplate (11250-01-20G)= £193.99
• 1 x OcUK GeForce GTX 780 "NVIDIA Reference" 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card= £199.99

Which is better given the price and paired with AMD fx 6300 for 1080p gaming in high/ultra settings? Do I need to consider a GTX 960 as well?

Does anybody have any insight please. To me the 780 8s incredible value and looking at getting that but what would give best performance boost in games that I will actually see?

So 780 is better buy even though it's older right?

Also is the cooler ok on the 780 as it's a geforce reference design?

But how does 780 compare to 970 performance wise?

I really don't know what to go for now I'm totally lost. Budget is £250 and I will only play at 1080p if I can save cash I'd like to get another 8gb ram but that's 50 on ocuk so would only leave 200. But I'm thinking spending 250 on gpu now and wait for another 8gb ram.

In modern games is the 780 a big improvement over a 7870 2gb for 1080p gaming?

Juse want to be sure before I checkout my basket..
