Hi guys,
I'am going 27 G-sync 144 hz, but just when I think I've found a 980ti I like I change my mind.

I can either go I5 6600K and top end 980ti or I7 6700K and bottom end 980ti, gonna be buying next week in time for my xmas self build.
thxs in advance :D

MSI Gaming 980 Ti and 6700k.:)

980 Ti's are all down to the silicon lottery so get a good basic one like the MSI Gaming with a decent cooler.

It's way too expensive for what is a sidegrade from a 4790k. Go X99 with a 5820k. Yes its lower clocked and that doesnt matter. I switched from a 4790k to a 5820k. 4790k was at 4.7ghz, 5820k is at 4.5ghz. No difference in game fps. 5820K runs much cooler too.

I agree, I am on 4770k myself and if I had upgrade (I don't) I would definitely go 5820k over 6700k.

If I was to buy another 980ti I would look for a water cooled one. Im happy with my G1 Gigabyte Gaming. So next time i wont be desperate to upgrade and will wait. I believe a water cooled GPU will help with your CPU temps as its not pushing as much heat around your case and through you board.

Agree 100%

Got the Hybrid AIO watercooler on my card and temperatures are great (under 50 degrees, hovering around 40 due to winter ;) ) and my pc doesn't sound like it about to take off :D

Totally agree, Get a stock 980ti and invest more on the CPU, you will see a bigger gain imo from a i5 to a i7 than a 980ti - 980ti with some marketing bull. Yes there is a bit of benefit from higher clocks on some TI's but you will be able to push 90% stock TI's further than a factory overclock.

Get an AIO one, they have come down in price and there are more manufacturers boarding the choo choo train so there are more to chose from now. They are really as good as everyone says they are.

Be savvy and shop around and stick with the i7, you'll regret getting an i5 now with many new games recommending i7's, example New Hitman game.
