Hi
after some advice. im a bit confused on what to do. basically im going away on Monday to Pakistan for a month. now I wanted a decent camera to take with me that's pretty much point and shoot. I've currently got a Panasonic tz9 which is the currys oem version of the Panasonic tz10. Alongside this I have a sony z3 compact mobile.

what I wanted to know was has camera technology changed much in the sense that would my z3c take better pics then the tz9?
also at a price range of around £250 is there a camera that can be bought that would be a major improvement from what I already have. I don't mind buying second hand

ive left this a bit last minute so would be grateful for any advice

thanks

ive not used the camera much so cant say if theres anything that holds them back. the reason I wanted to change was as im planning to do a lot of sight seeing so I wanted a camera that would get me the best quality pictures possible. the tz9 is about 4 years old so would have thought that the newer cameras would be a lot better bearing in mind the tz9 was a budget camera when originally bought.

after reading up on cameras all day im still undecided but i've narrowed it down to either buying the Fuji xf1 at £130 from currys or the sony rx100m2 for £300 used but with warranty.

the bit where I am stuck is I don't know if is the rx100m2 is worth the extra £170. what i am looking for is a camera that I can simply leave in auto mode and take decent pictures with. does the rx100 offer a massive improvement over the xf1 for the price and is it something a beginner will notice or is it a minor difference
