Hi people, I want to replace my headset, it's falling apart and the microphone is very crackly.

Anyway I am basically looking for the cheapest thing that is solid and there are quite a few, I really don't know how to narrow the choices down (and what I can get away with not spending).

Vague I know, perhaps someone could tell me what the major difference between spending £30 and £60 is, whether price represents quality or brand & stylish finish and if mic quality changes from model to model (as the focus seems to be 95% on the headphones most of the time).

nice headset

I took Alty's thorough brakedown of the available hardware and recommendations to heart and have been using the above headset for almost a month. Really great bit of kit, looks nice, feels quality, clear sound, nice bass boost - and it lets me hear my own voice so I'm always aware of how grinding and whiney I sound.

Shame SOMEONE didn't have it in stock though
