Help choosing a monitor please. [£200-£300]

I need a new monitor for gaming at least 24inch
My current monitor is a 24inch , 1080p dell st2410

as said in the thread title I have a budget of £200-£300

I'd prefer to stick to around £250 if possible as I don't really need a new monitor but my son needs one for Christmas so he can just have my current one

I don't really care about 120/144hhz so will just consider any monitors with that as a bonus.

not a fan of korean monitors using binned apple screens.

Its a good monitor I have the benq im sure youll love it just watch your retinas when you fire it up, mines what set very bright lol

I don't own one yet, but I plan on buying the VG248QE, as it's upgradable to g-sync next year. They haven't released any prices, but according to nvidia the DIY for g-sync will take 30 mins?

Hmm, I'm looking in this price bracket as well. Is it worth going for a 120hz+ screen? Does 120hz require any more computer power to run? I'm torn between the superior colours of an IPS panel compared to the smoothness of a TN 120hz panel. G-sync is just making everything more complicated as well!
