I'm currently using a Galaxy Ace and dislike it because of the poor general performance and the ridiculous limitations of having only 158mb internal storage.

My contract is up and i was pretty much set on getting the Galaxy S3. It's larger than i'd like normally (the Ace is the biggest i've had) but i put that aside as spec wise it is exactly what i want. Now the Galaxy S3 Mini is out i'm a little undecided. Obviously spec wise it's well down on the S3 but is it going to be significantly better than my existing Ace?

What network you with?

I know 3 have annonced that they will be upgrading current customers to use their 4G service for free.

There sevice seems to be good from what I hear.

If you really want a small phone then yeah the mini is going to be a decent upgrade from the Ace, but if size isn't too much of a concern then I would just go for your original choice the S3.

There should be some good deals around baring in mind new phones will be out in the not too distant future such as the S4.

If size is an issue, then get the one S or RAZR i, far far far better phone than the GS 3 mini! A bit bigger but it is worth it imo. The RAZR i and one s feel smaller than most other 4.3" devices i.e. gs 2 due to their design.

One s is in same league as the current flagships, only the screen res. and storage stop it from being a true flagship device. Razr i is also good, but not as good as the S overall, especially the camera, audio and hardware i.e. CPU chipset.

But yes the GS 3 mini will be better than the ACE.

I would go with the s3, great phone. You will get used to the size but when you first get it, it does seem big.

Galaxy s4 is suppose to be announced in march so maybe worth a wait until then.

Apparently the GS 4 will be announced around March and released in April, however, it will be even bigger, 5" screen.
