As my first choice (and second and third) are all EATX and won't fit into my case I'm currently looking at the MSI X99A SLI Plus, or if the additional cost is justified, the ASUS X99-Deluxe II.

I'll be getting a 6850K and some quad channel RAM.

What do you guys think of the above?

Do you need all the extra features on the ASUS X99-Deluxe II ?

The 6850k has a higher clock speed and 40 pci lanes , the 6800k has 28 so unless your tri sli/xfire the 6800k makes more sense.

I've used a few, ud4, ud5, MSI sli plus, MSI krait.

All were great boards, all got me to 4.6 with my 5820k, had all the features you could need.

In all honestly I'd go with the MSI plus, and put any additional money into something else.

Going for the 6580K as if I do go the SLI route in the future I won't need to upgrade again.

Think I'm gonna go in the middle and get the X99A Carbon.
