Hello,

I was literally minutes away from placing an order for a nice SFF gaming rig and got stuck on the GPU.

which one is a very fast graphics card at a very good price considering that
I play at 1680x1050 dx9 (and possibly dx10) games, no AA and normal AF ?

I was thinking either ATI 6950 or NV560 OC or NV560 SOC?

I mainly play flight simulator X and x-plane and A10 DCS, they're opengl, dx9 and dx10 games. No physx required, just performance ;-)

Thanks
Luca

Love flight sims. Dont go for an expensive card. Go for a 5850 as this runs it full setting on a full hd screen.
I would spend the money you saved on a full hd monitor. Or maybe 2 more of the same monitor u have ATM:)

who told you I have crap monitors ? :)
I'm using a single 1680x1050 24" monitor in my flight sim gaming rig and that is good enough for me ( this is great considering I started with a 14" 320x200 vga monitor back in the nineties)

I would get better monitor(s) first if possible.
If you can get the 560 and monitors then go for it

the 90s were a LONG time ago ;)

By better i meant 1920x1080 otherwise there is no point in getting a powerful gfx card. You just dont need the power. Why not get two more monitors with that card otherwise you will be wasting money
