First of all money isn't a object but i don't want to be wasting it on something i don't need.
My needs are as follows.
1. for my 2500k that i can overclock it with ease and i may upgrade to ivy bridge.
2. It will run 2xgtx580s,it will need plenty of spacing between the slots as the cards have big coolers and i will @ sometime be upgrading to 2xgtx680s or maybe 780s when they arrive.
3. It will have 1 ssd drive,1 sata hard drive and 1 dvd drive.
Also what do you guys think of the intel liquid cooler.

Many thanks.

Not done water cooling before so i would rather go liquid cooling and it's going in a antec 1200.
Thanks for the m/board advice

I'm looking at that board, is there any reviews for it, is it missing anything important do you know.

no reviews yet, I'm guessing because of the NDA on current Ivybridge chips due at the end of the month, which is a bit annoying, but based on the Z68 chipset it is replacing (i might be wrong) it does look a stonking board for the money tbh :)

Only 'review' that i've found to go into a little detail is more a preview from Hardware secrets > http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/ASRock-Z77-Extreme4-Motherboard/1509

That AsrockZ77 extreme4 is a nice board. It isn't really missing anything, it supports overclocking, accepts the new Ivy bridge (as well as sandy bridge) CPUs, does SLI/CF at x8/x8 speed, comes with native USB3/SATA3 ports, natively supports PCIE gen3 (when used with an ivy bridge CPU) and it looks great.

It has only just come out and the Ivy bridge CPUs will be out on the 29th, so I wouldn't expect in-depth reviews until then. However, based on the specs and the excellent quality of the Z68 asrock boards I would say this is a fairly safe bet.

I know I shouldn't go on looks but it's one of the best looking in the range so far imo, I like the look of the MSI but am fancying a change from MSI, plus it seems they have dropped the normal pci lane from the higher end range of boards and I use a Asus D1 pci sound card.

Think I may just purchase the Asrock.

edit, done it^:)

I love the looks of that asrock board but i always hear mixed things about asrock themselves. I have only ever owned a couple of asus boards which have worked fine but i would like a change. I really like the gigabyte z77 Z77X-D3H as well for the price, from what i have heard the rma and customer service is also great compared to asrock.

I just cant decide!

ive rma'd with both gigabyte and asrock and both times they were excellent, asus are the only ones ive had shoddy rma service from

asrock is in the USA arnt they? so the only downside there is it could take a while to get sorted where as gigabyte are uk based which should see a quicker turnaround

No they are in the Netherlands too,I had to rma to there, roughly two weeks at the most

Only thing to consider with the extreme4 is it is not quite full ATX size - which is why SATA ports can be located where they are.

Why would they do that:(, such a shame as I just ordered it yesterday and now I feel disappointed, Think I will cancel now.
