Going to be building myself a new pc mainly for gaming. Want it to be able to play current and upcoming (DX10?) games pretty well. Got some parts in mind but need your expertise to check everythings compatible (or any alternatives) and help with some others.

So far got in mind;

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 200GB ST3200820AS SATA-II 8MB Cache
Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Black Aluminium Midi-Tower Case
NEC AD5170 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black)

Other than that i need opinions on ram, psu (a quiet one), gfx (was thinking of a X1950 Pro 512MB?) and a decent, quiet cooler for cpu. Also anything else i'm missing, i'll be getting a monitor at a later date (Hyundai N91W), got about £800 to play with.

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400DC) (MY-063-GL)

Enermax Liberty 620W ELT620AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-024-EN

great choice of gpu

scythe ninja rev B cpu cooler

Just a thought, great case - but you might wanna go silver, it hides scratches :)

presumably you have keyboard? mouse? some arctic silver 5 thermal paste?

Cheers xirokx, went for black with the Lian-Li to match the hyundai lcd. Got a logitech media keyboard and mx510 mouse and some as5. :)
