Morning guys!

Finally managed to save up a bit of cash to get a new pc, as it's been far, far, FAR too long!

So far I've picked out the following, and need a bit of advice on a few bits (I've not really kept up with new tech):

Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 - Devils Canyon Core i7 4790K CPU & Motherboard Bundle **£25 Saving**
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R)
Crucial BX100 250GB SSD SATA 6Gbps 7mm Solid State Drive (CT250BX100SSD1)
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD

I think I can keep my case (Antec 300) and PSU (OCZ Stealth Xtream 600w), but I could use a bit of help sense checking the above and recommending a video card. I sort of have a budget of £1100 in mind, but it's a bit flexible either way.

I play Star Wars: The Old Republic (someone has to), but also love FPS games, and have a large back catalogue to get stock into.

Hello stuid - thanks for replying. I would like to game at 1920x1280, as I have my computer hooked up to my 46" LED TV.

I don't upgrade that often (see sig!), so would want something that will last awhile. I have a retail copy of Windows 7, so would use that until O upgrade to Windows 10.

Traditionally, I've use ATI/AMD cards, but I don't have any loyalty at all, and would happily switch to nvidia.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I want to best bang for the buck for around, while being somewhat future proof, if that makes sense.

Also, I would be overclocking, after giving myself a bit of a refresher course.

Your Antec 300 can be reused but also means you need to select certain length GFX cards (unless you dremmel it/mod it).

Or with all the savings from your £1100 budget I could suggest a newer case and a new PSU would be nice.

Thanks stulid - I've seen you have been very helpful in other threads and here is another example. I will keep my case and psu for now, and with the savings from the £1100 and the cashback, I will probably get a monitor and move my computer out of the living room, but that will come later.

You've given me the confidence to hit the "buy" button. Thanks :D
