HI
I was wondering if anyone had come across a similar problem?
currently my pc will run run fine and play games but if I shut it down it does not restart unless I leave the power unplugged for a day then it will restart normally until I shut it down?
any one have any ideas / suggestions other than a new PC

Its does not get to post bios I hear the fans start and Optical drive but it does not get to the bios beep on post

As a workaround you could try switching off the Power to the PSU and pressing the case power switch a few times to drain the PSU of power. This may allow you to start up without waiting.

I'd initially say that this is a PSU issue but seeing as you tried a replacement unit then perhaps not, unless the replacement unit was insufficient to power the rig.

What I'd be looking for is a electrical short. Maybe a card isn't inserted properly. A standoff is touching something it shouldn't.

Try powering up with minimal equipment, GPU, 1 stick RAM, CPU. Try a CMOS reset, it could be falling over some setting in there on a warm start.

What is the symptom of 'does not restart'? Is it a total failure to start, as in no power to fans? Do the fans twitch? Motherboard LEDs come on at all? Any BIOS error beeps?

it does total fail to start the fans do whirl but then nothing

I will check for a short and try a CMOS reset
