I am try to get together a new PC to build, I was going for a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max with a Ryzen 5 3600, Is it now better for me to wait for a B550 or get a 570x with the new 330 AMD chip (saving money on the chip but spending more on the MOBO), was looking to upgrade the chip in about 12 - 18 months anyway but want something that will still be current in a few years, last time I built a PC was about 8 yrs ago (I know dont shame me!) Im dont want to throw money at it now as not working is taking its toll on my budget.
Whats best to do?

At the moment the budget is way over what I expected to pay (the Mobo was £90 2 months ago, £129 now due to import failures etc covid etc) thats why Im glad I held off, everything else im well accounted for just the MOBO & CPU are a problem, do I spend more on a X570 & less on a chip! comes to the same sort of money but in a different way

Will the B450 last another 2 yrs? with the 550 coming out (one of those annoying 'inbetweeners' is it worth the £50 extra for the mobo? Im am quite flexible on the prices (and I have about 6 places I check prices on) but dont want to waste unnecessary money I dont need to! 8 yrs down the line my PC is struggling to play games now, used to be a mad gamer but not so much now a few titles I like to play, World War Z, City Skylines, Doom (got my eye on that) PUBG just games and general surfing, no vid editing etc

Thanks, I know the ram issues with Skylines going for 32gig
What chip? if I can afford it shall I stick with the Ryzen5 3600 or one of the newer ones
