Hi,

Can anyone help me please. I built my own minitx the other week and it has been working great ans still is. My bro in law saw it and decided he wanted one too, so got all the bits and built him one but it seems to have a problem. It all boots up and works but after about 2 minutes it just switches off?. I have checked the cpu and its running nice and cool none of it is overclocked either. It obvioiusly has a faulty bit of hardware but what?. I really have no idea what part it is that's causing it.
the spec of the pc is.

Silverstone Sugo SG05B Mini-ITX Case - Black (300w PSU)
Zotac GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi Mini-ITX (Socket 775) Motherboard
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache
OCZ Gold Edition 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Series
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775
Alpenföhn Panorama 'Low Profile' CPU Cooler
Sony slim line dvd rw

mem test - usually common fault.
Prime - Stress test ram/cpu combined also. Run for as long as possible.
Will the system stay stable in bios for beyond two minutes?
Have you swapped out known working components for with the new build to isolate certain things.

Try only one stick of ram then the other and see if one has an issue.

etc etc. come back when all these are exhausted.
