Hello,

I've gone and bought myself a Knaclean Smart Wifi light switch, thinking due to the fact I saw some neutral wires behind my light switch, this would be an easy installation. It's not and I need help.

As far as I make out:

Blue neutral cables go into N
Both brown live cables in com go to L2
Single brown live cable goes into L

I've done this and the office light is on, which is great, but the switch itself isn't operational and doesn't show either a red or blue light like it should.

(I also somehow managed to rewire the whole upstairs to be controlled from one light switch in the office, but I've fixed that ;))

Anyways, in desperate need of some help here.

Cheers.

You want to put the 2 lives that were in com into L and on new switch and 1 live that was in L1 into L1 on new switch and all 3 neutrals into N if they will fit or just use a short link from choc block to switch

Would have to put the L1's into L2 (as the L1 space on the new switch is actually empty)

Nope. Nothing.

All I can think is either the neutral wires aren't working or the switch itself isn't working....?

You appear to have loop at switch wiring so you should be okay.

If you aren't sure about the switch you could wire it to length of flex and a mains plug for testing. Not without some minor risk, but if you can't handle that you shouldn't be messing with the wiring in the first place (IMO).

I have a similar issue but my initial wiring is a little different. I have black wire going to COM, a blue wire going to L1 and a Yellow wire going to L2. At the back not connected to the current switch there are 2 red wires choc o bloc together. My Wi Fi Switch only has a N, L1 and L2 input. Any suggestions?

When you're on the Imgur site pick the BBCode (message boards & forums) option and insert it. You'll get something like this:-
