Just bought a whole lot of new components from ocuk; put it all together and it just does not work keeps BSODING. At the start i kept getting the IRQ NO LESS OR EQUAL error but after reinstalling vista (after many times after failed attempts due to freezing at expanding files part of installation) and resetting the bios battery that error has not shown up again. However now all the time when doing normal things like surfing the net of looking through folders it randomly freezes. When trying to play GRID it will freeze as soon as the race starts! Now i keep getting a new BSOD which is Page Fault in NonPage Area

I've tried checking all the ram speratly in different slots i get the same problem. Tried setting the ram to 1066Mhz; I have even browed a mates graphics card (8800GT) and his ram(Corsair XMS2 2x4Gb) and still freezes i have no idea what the source of the problem is. I've gone through the bios checked everying it is all on auto No overclocking has taken place at all!

After all this I still get random freezing and Page Fault in NonPage Area BSOD!

Hardware list
Asus P5Q Deluxe
Intel Q9550 Yorkfeild 2.83Ghz
Kingston HyperX PC8500 4x1GB
WD 320GB Cavier Blue
Xpert Vision Nvidia 9600GT 512Mb
Corsair HX-520
Vista Home Premium x64

Pease any help would be great!!

*EDIT* JUST TRIED REINSTALLING VISTA AND IT BLUE SCREENED JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO SELECT WHAT DIRVE I WANTED TO INSTALL TO; IRQ NO LESS OR EQUAL AGAIN!!

I would check the rated voltages on the ram (should say on a sticker on the ram, aswell as on the packing if you still have it) and set it manually in the bios.

That does sound a lot. My PC2-6400 G.skill recommends 1.8-1.9v, I needed to put it to 1.85v to get it to be stable though. If it recommends that then try 2.3, if that doesn't work give it a bit more juice.

What is the part number of your ram? From a bit of googling "Kingston HyperX PC8500" most seem to say 2.2v

just tried installing vista with all ram on mobo, the ram was set to 800mhz at 2.3v cas 5-5-5-15 and a bsod came up again Irq no less or equal 0x000000A any suggestions?

is there a point in running memtest when it still bsod when using my mates corsair xms2 ram or my hyper x ram? thing is there is definitely nothing wrong with my mates xms2 ram and it still froze when trying to play grid and even the chess game on vista; as i said i even changed the gpu to my mates 8800GT and things still froze. I will give it a bios upgrade when i have time.

If anyone has any other ideas in the mean time please do post as i am still confused!

try installing with just 2gb of ram, as mentioned above. Do you have an irq issue? what stuff do you have plugged into the pci/pci-e ports?
You also need to up the MCH (northbridge) voltage if your running 4 sticks...well normally, to 1.5 i think (.1 more than it was before is normally enough.

edit: also a lot of ram wont run at its rated speeds when its got 4 sticks, if you complain you get some BS about it is only rated for that speed in 2 stick configuration, hence why its a "pair"

ok got 2gb in the machine now set to 800mhz, 2.0v, nb voltage 1.2, and the only pci slot being used is the pci-e slot for the 9600gt. Gonna try to install vista again; will update with outcome soon as.
