Help convincing my old man to get a build from here instead of all-in-one

My old man is after a new desktop, he states he wants an all-in-one but I think you pay a premium for a little space saving.

Ideally the budget is £600 for everything but I would be willing to buy him a monitor if needed.

I have been looking at the below as I have never built a PC, apart from changing hard drives and RAM in laptops I am new to it all.

He uses it for mainly web browsing, word processing, so general stuff really but it would be good to get a decent PC that will be good for as long as possible.

Sorry if I have missed anything or not added enough detail but would love some advice.

Cheers

Personally since it's for someone else, and not yourself I wouldn't "learn" on another persons build. If you want to learn get your own PC and build up, and once you know what you're doing then offer your service. But not until then.
I possibly wasn't clear, the link I provided was for a built PC from this website. I will eventually build my own PC but like you said I won't learn on someone elses money.

He won't need 16GB of RAM. My dad uses his laptop for the same - emails, word processing, and doesn't need more than the 6GB it has. Get your dad a bigger SSD instead.

Also, look at the new Ryzen quad-core APUs with integrated graphics. Ryzen 3 2200G for example (with a B350 board).

Thanks for the advice.

I have looked at a deal with the below;

AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
ASUS PRIME B350M-A
8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR4 2133MHZ
500GB SAMSUNG 850 EVO SSD
GENERIC DVD DRIVE
STANDARD POWER SUPPLY/COOLER ETC.

£637 INCLUDING VAT

I won't be building it myself so was going to configure one from this site. I can't see where to build something like the one above but I am guessing this would be sufficient?

Not sure if that link will work.

Thanks for all the help, sorry I haven't been on but was busy with work.

I'm going to build a cheap media pc I can stick under the TV to use for streaming etc. So once I've done that I'm going to build him a PC...or buy him an all in one if he definitely wants one because of the space issues.
